PICNIC

Chestnut Country Lodge can offer the additional service of picnic lunches for our guests, to take with you on your day out.

The cost is R150.00 per person.

Here is the basic menu we usually do:

- Mushroom Salad / Roast Vegetable Salad / Large Garden Salad
- Italian Potato Salad (No mayonnaise)
- Bread : 3 different types, cut and arranged in a basket
- Butter in a dish
- Camembert cheese
- A variety of cold meats : usually 3 different types depending on what we can get (chicken pieces, tuna tartlet, meatballs, pastrami, ham, salami) usually arranged in a container on a bed of lettuce with tomatoes olives, gherkins, boiled eggs, etc.
- Always fresh fruit in season : strawberries, cherries, naartjies, plums, etc
- Always something sweet : koeksisters, chocolates, coffee biscuits
- Fruit juice
- 500ml water for each person

We also add condiments : salt, pepper, mustard, chilli sauce
