Travel Tips

Malaria
We are located in a low-risk malaria area.  Consult your doctor however, we suggest that it is not necessary to take malaria medication while staying in this area, particularly in our winter months - May - August.  Insect repellant cream is provided as a guest amenity in our rooms.  If you are travelling further north into the Kruger National Park or into Mozambique, malaria medication is advised.

Our road:

We are situated on an untarred road which can be a bit muddy in our summer rainfall months.  We recommend you approach us from the top end of our road as it is only 1.7kms to the Lodge.  If you are approaching us from the bottom end of the road, you will find us 2.5 kms from the turn-off.   In the summer months - October - February, it is advisable to call us on 013 - 737 8195 or 082 - 462 2740 to check on the state of our road and for guidance with directions.  You do not need a 4 wheel drive to reach us.
